The East Coast is a font of history and inspiration. I seek to imbibe the visual mosaic afforded by such unique topography and narratives, and to share it with others.

My work explores familiar elements of East Coast culture, education and science in an effort to transform and pervert (if only slightly) the traditional.

A high school biology teacher by trade, he is self taught as an artist.

Trial, error, hypotheses and procedure have led him to focus primarily on printmaking and elements of photography.  Blake’s style is often characterized by simple, stark images and bold colors.

He has been lucky enough to be a member of Imago and the GSN in Moncton, NB, for a number of years now.

He refuses to spell color with a “u”.
